Album title: Visions of the Emerald
Beyond
Description: In late 1974 while on tour in Miami,
Premik received an unexpected phone call from
his friend Narada Michael Walden, then drummer
for Mahavishnu, requesting his presence for some
back-up sax work on what would prove to be a landmark
recording for the Orchestra as well as Premik’s
first major label outing.

Hancock
Album title: The Swing of Delight
Description: In 1980,Santana decided to take a
radical departure from his familiar latin-rock
sound and bring together some of his favorite
players from the jazz field, such as Herbie Hancock,
Tony Williams, Wayne Shorter and others. This
selection, composed by Sri Chinmoy, features Premik
on tenor, supported by Carlos and other Santana
band members as well as Herbie Hancock on keyboards.

Description: This debut album by pop diva Whitney
Houston produced a string of #1 hits. "How
Will I Know" produced by Narada
Micheal Walden, features the tenor sax of Premik
and remained at #1 on the Billboard charts for
several weeks

Description: This #1 R&B single produced by

Album title: Rejuvenation
Description: This smooth-sounding, yet musically
adventurous outing was a return to a more organic
and spontaneous approach to recording. In just
two days, the entire album was completed. “Rejuvination”
features Premik’s soprano sax soaring over
a mantric 2-chord pattern layed down by Smith’s
piano and supported by such great players as percussionist
Steve Thornton and bassist Cecil McBee.

Edgar Paterson Mills

Album title: Buddha on Mars
Description: This unique 57-minute world music
journey is the product of bassist/visionary Edgar
Mills. When the project was near completion, Premik
was called in to add his eastern and western flutes,
soprano sax and wind synth. As a duo, Edgar &
Premik, aka “Buddha On Mars” have
performed various multi-media shows throughout
the New York area, including several shows with
the “Circle Of Dance” company. For

Equinox
Album title: Equinox
Description: In 1986, Premik collaborated with
his long-time guitarist -friend Shambhu
Vineberg to form this unique duo, whose free-spirited
interpretations of Sri Chinmoy’s devotional
songs have won wide acclaim throughout the U.S.
and Europe. The duo recently performed before
the President of Macedonia and other dignitaries
at a special function in New York.

Sangit Tarangini
Album title:Sangit Tarangini
Description: This seven member ensemble hails
from both New York and Puerto Rico. Directed by
Sukhendu Martin, percussionist for the San Juan
Symphony and his wife, cellist Narayani Martin;
the group produces a soulful blend of eastern
and western sounds derived from Sri Chinmoy’s
haunting melodies. Premik performs with the group
on various flutes, soprano sax and wind synthesizer.
